飛毯的時尚驚艷 The fashionable magic carpet ride

I remember when i was in the UK. I used to visit a lot of charity shops. There were selling vintage carpet or curtain fabric. They were sophisticated and looking so luxury with its hand feel and touch. I like the thickness and warmth in the autumn and winter. Sleek decent curtain and soft fluffy carpet were made of velvet, jacquard, wool or fur. I wondered why they wouldn't be used in garment and handbags.

我記得當我還在英國的時候，常常去慈善家品店，迷上了那些懷舊的地毯或是窗簾布。它們摸或看起來都很高級豪華像奢侈品。我喜歡它厚實溫暖的手感，是秋冬季良品。筆挺體面的窗簾布和蓬鬆柔軟的地壇可以是絲絨、提花、羊毛或其它毛皮。我就在想如果這些能用再衣服上，那會好看又實用。

This season it has come to a trend of using this kinda fabric on many aspect. Maison Martin Margiela is always innovative. They has done a SS collection by the theme of carpet which really surprised us. The saturated colours and the pattern are eye catchy. The collection is so strong and demonstrating a different kind of glamourous.

這季節正好用上了這類料子來做各式單品，Maison Martin Margiela的設計向來多想法，這個春夏直接用了絲絨地毯作主題，帶給我們驚喜的是那飽和度十足的顏色和圖案都非常驚豔，令這另類的系列有着強烈的感染力。

And also the Harper's bazaar UK in November has created an editorial by using collection of carpet made garment. Although they are looking like those toilet mat selling in Harrods somehow, I think it's interesting to have them as garment in my wardrobe. And surely they are warm enough for the entire freezing winter. It gonna feel like living in the Mongolia tent or flying in the magic carpet.

另外11月的Harper's bazaar UK的編輯裏就展示了一件件的華服，雖像Harrods裏售賣的洗手間地毯似的，可是我就是愛把毛絨絨又可愛的它們加入成爲我的衣櫃一員，也肯定它們會溫暖我的整個寒冬，又可以想像是住在蒙古包裏或是坐在飛氈上。

How to wear carpet alike items?
It is a challenging item to be worn. The thickness will do you a chunky bulky silhouette looking like a bear. From Haper's Bazzar they had demonstrated a fashionable total look by using all these garment. However in the reality we definitely won't be able to be naked inside. I would suggest to match with edgy and sleek cut one piece dress underneath the fluffy coat to look elegant. Or the feel of hippy and gypsy which I think it would be very stylish to corporate with shirts and flare/wide leg jeans or even the maxi clingy skirt.

秋涼了，微風掠過面龐，細看身邊的點滴，感覺清爽輕鬆。

可恨坐在苦悶枯躁辦公室内，與秋意絕緣，卻突然發現美好Cinemagraph，輕輕喚醒快睏死的OL！

Gif不是新興事物，但Jamie Beck與Kevin Burg 從09年開始以靜態攝影配合多格流暢的motion frame製造出電影感的照片。"it's more than a photo but not quite a video" 就正好充份而明確地交代了Cinemagraph是怎樣的一回事。

鏡頭下有紐約市景、時裝週及大人物，如Anna Wintour、Nina Garcia、Coco Rocha，Christian Louboutin 的product shot等。

細細看，悄悄望，真的好有感覺。只是輕輕的movement, 瞬間看紐約。人物的細緻，自然的動態，光影的流動，像是我們Out-focus之間又霎時留意到身旁的細碎事物，

最近買下的多對新鞋，實在過份價廉物美，於是我又瘋狂掃貨，統統帶回家。每對均有個人特色，如今季大熱loafers, 猄皮尖頭，vintage款真皮，及精美玫瑰decor色丁stiletto。買鞋經驗不淺的我，形容這次爲一高峰。不誇張以30元價錢，買得到歐洲名牌真皮及優良鞋楦的，人生幾回?

i have bought many new shoes lately. They are surprisingly cheap. They each have their own selling point with the greatest hit high heels loafers, suede point toe, vintage style in real leather and the lovely rose decor satin stiletto. I am such an experienced shoes shopper. I'd described this time as a new page of my thrifting history!

My friend are all asking for the address. I really want to share however it's just pointless to tell. Sales is girls'best friend. But you gotta have the luck as the sales comes today and leave in a sec. Moreover, no doubt you gotta have the strength.

那天是這樣的，風和日麗的下午，與友人走到馬寶道逛逛。那是一個像是深水埗旁邊的市場，有賣魚賣肉和菜。一街檔口，各形色的商舗盡在那裏，市場之外還有出口店，賣雜貨，更有賣大陸化妝品等。試問這怎會是年青人會到的地方。天氣曬又熱，我們幸見一出口店熱鬧非常，"賓賓"(非"紛紛") 圍觀，我倆平宜好貨愛好者就不怕擠擁一探究境。

That day was ultra sunny. We went to Mapo road in North point which is like Sham Shui po markets selling fish and veggie. There are stalls in the middle of the road. they are some outlets, food stores and even some cheap and fake cosmetics. So obviously this won't be a place for youngster to shop. We were so lucky to see an outlet throwing a big sale that many Filipino workers were looking up in crowds. Of course as a budget buyer, my friend and I just can't help to get through and have a look.

There are beautiful shoes in HKD30 each throwing on the floor with shoe boxes. We were sweating like hell but trying so hard seeking for the nice and fitted pairs. Sometimes we even have to step much forward and crossing the crowd to pick our spot. You can tell how much effort we made! And until late it suddenly rained, we both carryied heavy shoe boxes by the typical red plastic bag to home.

對很多人來説，我們爲貪小便宜，何苦如此購物？我卻覺得這樣很有成功感，對我來説卻是樂趣。我只是用耐力取代你們花下的大部份金錢，所以要找低價好貨除了運氣，還有以下條件。

people would judge why we put so much effort of saving money? But I really enjoy the way to shop like this and I am totally proud of it. I just have spend my effort to replace the amount you all have paid. That's I think I have these condition to thrift apart from having such good luck.

不怕髒和異相 Never avoid the dirt and being wierd

通常賣平宜貨的地方都骯髒不高尚更別想豪華，低下階層的人爲多，競爭對手也當然是他們。但這比逛名店好的是不怕白眼無壓力，要哪件取那件，也不怕飛象過河，又可以盡情表露興奮感。

Those thrifty place are usually dirty and messy. The lower income people are your competitors. But this is somehow better than being discriminated when you shop in the luxury label stores. Without pressure you can pick whatever you like and doesn't matter you grab those far from you. You can also show how happy and excited you are.
有觀察力、好奇心，勇於發掘嘗試 be observative, curious and brave to explore

只要眼看四周，你就不會錯過平宜賣場。看到有興趣的就走過去看看，8卦一番。你也可以隨邊拿起觀看，看合適自己與否。這樣不只能找好貨，也開眼界，樂趣好多。

You have to be clear mind and smart then the cheap nice stuff won't be missed. Whenever you see something interest just go and have a look. Pick up and see if it fits you. That's not jus tabout finding the cool stuff but also has boarden your sight
不輕易放棄、有氣力&耐性 Don't easily give up with strength and passion

清貨數量之多，陳列無章，你必需以無盡力氣，搜索好貨。雖是吃力的，但成功和滿足感隨之而來。一直找就能找到一片天！

As most of the clearance and sales are in bulk or displaying in a mess, you have to use up your strength to look for the best piece. It's tough but you will be satisfied and proud. it would just make your day!
眼明快手 Quick and ambitious

這跟以上條件都有關。人人都在搶貨之時，眼不明手不快，一但放慢手腳，就給別人搶了買了，那時只得傷心。

This is all about mentioned above. During everyone is trying hard to grab what they want, you are slower and late. Then regret and sadness remain.

能做到以上加運氣的，你能省下許多的錢，買更多好貨，件件精選，不後悔。

P.S. 筆者感嘆因地產商的壟斷，越少見香港的平民購物點。我們市民購物付款的時候，其實有多少部份是交到租金去，買到的貨跟本不值。小商戶生存難，香港政府的官商勾結和無能是直接影響大衆你我的。所以我們不能無視這問題，也請多選擇獨立小商戶購物，這是幫助自己和社會的。

P.S. I am feel upset of the monopolization of the properties consortium. It leads to the reduction of the shopping place for poorer consumer. A big part of the price we paid are for the rental. The value of the product is not worth it costs. The independent stores hardly survive. This is how the government collude with the consortium which affect all of us as a citizen. We can't ignore the issue that I sugguest to consume in those independent store which is helping us and the society.

The sheer look and item is a super hit these seasons. Even the pregnant Julia is wearing a sheer top. However everyone blame how hard to manage the see-through style. I now have some solution for you all.

妙法1

透視長裙簡易度滿分，已爲大衆所能接受，許多時尚圈人都紛紛試穿。

由於透視的雪紡能做到陰影效果，對修飾腿部有極大幫助。

另以實色裙底作打底配搭，層次感更豐富。

作面裙的話最好穿想貼身窄裙，甚或打底褲也合適。

我見議穿上長裙則要以合身或短身及盆骨的外套作搭配，有助拉長身高。

Solution 1

The sheer maxi dress or skirt is the easiest way to start off with. All the fashionista happen to wear it in different ways. The transparent chiffon can create the effect of shadowing which helps with flattering the legs. Also you can have a solid skirt matching with the sheer dress to layering the outfit. if you make it as a covering dress, you can pick the bandage mini skirt or fitted jersey shorts. I reccomand to wear shorter fitted jacket with this look in order to keep your figure in proportion.

Solution3

Using the tone on tone basic camisole or even bra underneath the shirt. The same colour tone helps to minimize the skin part and it 's like combining with the sheer shirt. You will never feel too sexy about it. And pairing up with a high waist bottom to hide the belly has the same effect. Also would give you long legs.

撞色不難，但内衣及透視上衣則是高難度，見議平胸者才使其法。可參考以下圖片，以同色内衣及下身單品與透視襯衣作對比，大膽有型。

Solution5

The colour blocking is easy but not applying on the bra and sheering top. I would only suggest this to the flatter chest ladies. See the demonstration below. matching the bra and bottom colour then contrast with the blouse are such a nice combination.

我身邊不乏會員朋友，可能比直的還多。有些直男特別抗拒homosexual，我覺得這是膽子自信及Open mind與否的問題。Gay gay們勇於承認自己，保持開放的態度，自我型像亦抱要求。然而，不是説同志就是人妖風塵味，我的這些好友穿得既有男人味，同時fashion的很。

承接前blog post的60's回歸，妝容又豈能固步自封?

一直在刷睫毛的時候，大家都愛濃密自然，纖細幼長的睫毛，避免着刷出不順暢又黑黑帶糾結的蒼蠅腳，稍一手勢不好就弄的一條一條，梳也梳不開。

可是今季潮流卻刻意弄成這樣，這的確是我這個不諳化妝人的好消息。譲睫毛一根一根的極致分明，粗的梳不開是關鍵，就像60's強調睫毛，Twiggy的娃娃大眼。

From my last blog about the return of 60's mod, here comes the make up trend!

We are looking up for natural with volumn. also clear and tidy lashes. The make up tutorials teach us to brush out the lashes by mascara. Try to avoid them sticking together like flies' legs. But it's not easy! I do always make it a mess whicch hardly brushed and spread nicely.

But this season, the thick masara brushed lashes is a must! I am glad to know this because of my poor make up skill. It's definitely OK to let your lashes stick together, looking thick and in clear lines. Like the 60's enphasizing the lashes, creating the massive eyes as Twiggy.

當然不是真的蒼蠅腳，還真的要整理一下。

先像平常一樣刷一層睫毛液，然後立刻用夾子把它夾成一束束，方向也得像花瓣的平均向外，再繼續多刷幾層，譲每一束變得粗又分明，下睫毛方法亦然。我建議先用纖長睫毛液，再用濃密的，這樣就能達到效果。

我不是非常懂得化妝，如果説用假睫毛，找來下面是我覺得很好的示範。她是Tina一個beauty blogger. 她在一文仲就介紹了塑造Twiggy大眼的眼妝和配合的假睫毛用法，大家可以到她的blog去學習。

Of course it won't be really like the legs of flies. You have to fix them a bit.

Just brush your lash as usual for a single layer. Then use a twister to group the lash 2 to 3 pieces into a small bunch. make them spread like sunflower. After that keep on brushing few layers of mascara. Do the same on lower lash. I suggest to use length extending mascara then the volumn one. They will help to create such an effect.

I am not very good at make up. So the false lashes part would be demonstrated by Tina, the beauty blogger. One of her blogpost had introduced how to do the Tiggy make up and the use of false lashes. You all may take a look and learn from her.

由於60's正值百花初綻放，以年青人爲本的時代，一切發生的都精彩絕倫，眼花瞭亂目不暇及之時，教人怎不喜愛。

I am always so inspired by different decade of fashion history. Especially in love with the 60s that my very beggining step to start wearing vintage. Becasue it was a decade based on the youth. Theyouth quake brings the colourful and shocking elements which make the society being so fun. There's no doubt to be obcessed with it.

而時裝當然自然加入這花花世界，最能譲身型顯高而纖巧的正是60年代的迷利裙、修身A字裙，幾何圖案，小男孩感覺的造型，尤其適合如筆者般，骨架偏小單薄不高的亞洲人身型。

Fashion was one of the aspect beiing developed in a new way. The silhoutte is slim and making you look tall. Because of the mini skirts, A line one piece. Don't forget the geometric pattern and little boy look. They rather suit my skinny and short typical Asian body figure.

頭髮煩惱絲卻是再生材料造眼鏡

設計行業中已不只單純的追求美感實用性，亦講求與科技及環境的配合。Studio Swine就想到除了頭髮能於美容界中使用外，用於與其它物料的配合該同樣可取。這系列的眼鏡外型吸，其髮絲混合樹脂造成的可降解鏡框，譲fashion更加環保。

This is such a non-stylish pic innit? But it's is defo an experiment I'd say. Here's the story behind.

Yesterday i went to shop and look up for the 2012 handbags for research. So, obviously, u can tell which store it is by the interior and display.

I walked in.Then a sales associate approached me and asked what i was looking for IN ENGLISH. It always happens when shopping in those designer labels. They either speak Mandarin or english to you. So it's weird to tell,'I speak canton'.

I told a lie that I wanna have a bag for my frd. She has no time to shop and thats why I requested for a catalogue.The service was unexpectedly GOOD that she let me to take a picture of their bags because they don't have any but only a PDF showing on Ipad!! I took even in details of the zipper, closure, linging...etc.
I wonder is that because I speak english that's why it allows to take photo? Even the shop manager was there. He didn't say any thing! They gave me a name card as well.

Conclution!! Do speak English when you shop! You'll be surprised at the perfect service! LOL

Strike a pose未必是model專利，也是氣質態度的體現。造型除了精美化妝、型格衣服以及配飾外，用上名牌手袋也未必夠氣場，甚至拿手袋的手勢也有講究。

想不到Prada拿着提包的手勢也有guideline，立見其重要性。

自然也是氣場元素之一，不用做作地擺出大幅度的向後彎腰，包包擺臉旁。
平民要顯性格無做作氣質strike a pose，參考fashion week騷場外拍下的fashion snap shot。

- 側背用手爪着肩帶較有含羞少女感
- 自然側背瀟灑女人味

記得小學和中學的白襪仔嗎? 那年由於是學生的身份，被與潮流背道而馳的學校和老師打壓，我們可是這在局限内挑戰底線。大象襪未免過火，惟選較鬆身且粗直條的運動襪，學校對襪的長度亦有着無理要求，白襪本已顯腿粗，更殘酷者逼着學生把其拉至及膝，實在不仁! 於是每天進校門前硬把白襪拉得最高，還望襪頭膠水保持黏力，一過訓導的金睛火眼後回復正常。做學生真苦。

I do remember the "hard time" at skool that the teachers always forced us to puull our ugly white socks up to the knee matching with the below knee skool dress. It was defo a disaster! Because the skool is somehow anti-fashion. For those naughty student like me and my frds tried to test the bottomline. Different stule of socks in trend like the japanese style loose drapy socks or the sweater one. But we had never avoid the punishment of not sticking to the skool rules. Damn...

又記得多年前老土怪都白襪配涼鞋，還有大陸女士們的肉色絲襪襯涼鞋，這都可算是時裝界上的反面經典。今天老土當時興，反面教材成潮流。

It has been quite out-dated to wear white socks all over the 00's. The mainland ladies' look was classic. They wear low den nude colour ankle stockings with sandals. But today that's no longer be tacky or granny style. Let's see the example below.

別看輕這小小的襪子，它對我的人生有着不同的意義外，時裝上的用處亦非同小可。年前多alexander wang經已在台上譲model穿上白襪，於是筆者有樣學樣，卻被吐糟，可見當年不成氣候，白襪者尤其遭白眼。

2011 resort 他又捲土重來，還有更多品牌紛紛追隨，如 Prada ,Dries Van Noten ,Burberry，白色的花的圖案的襪子們終于抬頭，襯涼鞋絕對不是老土怪。這夏季衣服百花齊放，花花幾何顔色統統有型，帶挈配飾也無懼過份花巧，襪子亦然。

Haven't been updating my blog for some time as I am just getting on a new track of work.

I feel like I am looking for myself from each job I had. Each of them may not be wut u persue for a life time as u may not enjoy and like about. But it defo for u to prepare urself for the next step. Because it wasn't wut I am enjoying from my past position however it provided me a very first step and a stable envoironment to look up to wut I can do in the future .

It's very much fate & destiny of how I get to the position now. Something is meant to be ready for you if you are well prepared. I'd never know I would be doing luxury handbags or shoes that I am fancy with. How dramatic is life, innit?

I m quite happy of wut I m doing now. Learn from the tough work or tough situation to let me stay stronger. It's good that it allows me to look all over the world being more international than just sitting in the office, facing the computer, coming up with boring drawings.

I would take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been giving full support to me. The encouragement when I am dull and upset while I have lost my path and myself means soooo much to me! And the change of life I have now is those ppl securing my heart to make me having the braveness to get out of my comfort zone.

I will be out of town sometimes. Pls dun blame my disappearance cos I don't have enough time for all or even myself (being lazy or resting). I do keep everyone in mind and love you all always. XXX

紀錄另類地踎醉夢同遊曼谷

停手2星期，皆因頹廢沉迷享樂、美食與睡眠。

假期十天，當中一半醉夢遊曼谷。此地爲港人熱門，我不用特寫旅記。

而我們倆的意向一志，另類選遊地踎，此文乃點滴趣事，好作紀錄而已。

中午JJ Market本是vintage二手愛好者辛苦尋寶地，可是筆者一無所獲，汗流依舊頰背。

可恨也！於是幸好晚上轉戰 local night market，有像我的英國至愛carboots sale又或是bricklane地攤，完全符合我倆河車，二人興奮忘餐。

賣的包羅萬有，沒有像JJ般的找遊客的血汗錢，和白眼講價者(我)。如下照片能描述一切。

另外環繞檔仔們都有酒吧，懷舊味更強烈刺鼻。

除了貌似小食街檔實情是正餐pad thai外，有一酒吧連餐廳，它成爲我們當晚落肚點。地方不是人人能接受，可是我們二人卻津津樂道，因為環境有如廢墟，窗戶門口皆破壞，更別説裝修或冷氣。可是那處處殘舊的風味實在美好。相連的是同味道的酒吧，當地年青人較多。

牆壁上有字列上今年三月的日期，不知道是否開業不久，但我有理由相信如似環境是無牌經營的，不過無所謂。

食物或許無法中肯評論，因爲那裡沒有英文菜單，亦聽不懂外語，於是我們二人以僅懂的泰式餸菜名點餸 - TOM YUM, PAD THAI ，這兩個既家傳戶曉又朗朗上口。另外我用body language形容英文單字 - PORK, NECK > 用食指把鼻子向上推，再指指自己的頸，如是就還算醫了肚。

由於market只於weekend開業，我們逛得不久。收獲雖少卻仍然精彩。

還有另一爲我們喜歡的則是Khao San，背囊友天堂，消費低，有買的食的飲的，更有tattoo。筆者本想添丁，可是見遊客就開天殺價便放棄了。

我們倆口用錢最多於Band tee，價錢相宜，可是要留意其印花質量。

藝術文化中心才剛開幕，内無特色，gallery小貓一二，日後再多進注才有參觀意慾。

唯一特別是一所雪糕店。有意念的雪糕值得支持。

全球暖化的概念雪糕

還有WASABI味的Strange Ice-cream. Yum!

更多有SPA, nice service apartemnt, shopping mall 等不特色的不好説。

10天假期中之4天3夜沉倫泰國就這樣，其餘瑣碎的容後上照片。

於是筆者分析一下品牌們的特色和購買心得，好譲大家選購時更快捷方便慳錢有水準。

先説大衆必掃的H&M:
*平 (但未算最平)
*款多既快又新，與trend相近
*車工質料不好，留意車工
*易撞衫，人手一件
*留意減價怪款，沒人吼，不會撞款
*過2季賣剩，仍on-trend，因其緊貼潮流，還沒流行到本地
*不要急着買，很快減價/一街滿是同款像制服
*可refund，買了才想也未算遲
*店面大，但仍擠擁，人流強勁
*背景音樂新，POP或indie都有

然後ZARA
*款式快又新，抄high end 款
*質料車工較好
*減價期，有如此quality，可望穿底價
*可留意其童裝，大童尺碼有可能合身
*投資類(買不起highend)，基本款如大衣，剪裁較佳
*撞款也還好
*價錢當然較貴
*店面寬敞

再來Cotton On
*Casual自然款
*基本率性隨意
*適合求其出門
*質量不好，只能穿一季
雖然質量不合格，但若閣下如筆者般慳家，又喜歡洗水殘舊味的能多穿2季
*超平價，比H&M還低 (減價更強且常有)
*環保袋款式美，可是撞款機會極高
*鞋款On trend，但鞋型不好，價錢亦不合心水
*内衣褲美而耐穿
*推介男裝tee女穿，pattern有型
*貨架擠迫因店面貨量多
*音樂很POP

接着Monki
*價格平均
*款式較自我，簡單中帶details，個性路線
*質量普通
*Accessories有看頭，較小衆口味
*較少減價
*店面陳列跟瑞典店差不多，可是照辦煮碗，非常擠逼

最後Berska
*抵穿的，比H&M較便宜一點點
*質量不合格，選料亦不好
*款式新，但選擇不多
*相對撞衫機會低
*店面大小適中
*貨架高
*鞋款質量都尚好，有時能找到便宜好貨
*減價目標
*音樂爲電子，極合筆者心意，有蠢蠢欲動之感

平價皮衣爲何襯如何襯爲何買如何買

剛出版於backztage一文介紹了burberry leather biker，It girl教你Biker如何襯。名牌不合此處，皮衣價格日趨驚人，幾千幾萬叫人如何狠掏荷包呢?

其實筆者對此也有點束手無策，因爲處處開價也相同．只有恆心守候，季尾就是入貨時機。但連所店的貨尾亦不穿抵價。我見議到批發中心購買，價錢爲1000到2000就已經是最佳入手位了。能找到較低廉的請告訴我，但千萬不要因價就貨買膠皮的，筆者認爲皮革物品是投資，不會後悔的。

選款式的話我個人鐘愛重洗水的皮革，其實看似殘舊的會更耐穿，還有五金拉鏈要重手才顯性格。尤其biker真真是必備item，她從沒有退潮流。皮衣的款式其實年年不惶多樣，唯獨他款式最爲耐看，型格有至。

筆者自少酷愛biker款、皮革物品，孤寒我爲何仍肯(以本人價位算是)大花金錢呢？皆因它好襯至極！backztage文中亦有所提及。它怎樣襯都不失於人。Hardcore地配鍋釘rocker boots加smoky eyes一身PUNK ROCK造型。參加宴會的話，alexa的確作了很好的示範。又例如人手一件的tutu skirt過份可愛，可是偏偏是任何年紀的女性都無法抗拒，我們其實稍稍再搭配上作出改變，配上中性或男性化的單品，就能輕易駕馭這類夢幻裙子。又或是casualT恤牛仔褲懶得想之時，一件外套譲人頓時有型許多。

這個正是筆者去遊埠的簡易造型 (見前post)，隨手一件tank top，少少誇張的velvet豹紋leggings，外套上biker，戴着signature頭巾，極速出門。(雖仍遲到，澄清一下，原因不在襯衫，也還請友人們原諒:P，愛你哋。)

星期一早上與朋友討論blogger路線問題。於是來一個review，究竟pauperish strangejoanne該何去何從呢？

昨天新買數件5元上衣，打算拍照分享之際，驚覺其中大部份乃不起眼卻是我堅信好襯又合時之物。單色不修身上衣哪會吸引。筆者大力推崇要找平價好貨必先努力眼利原來也並不容易。正如早前一文提到我的平價購物論，我才發現發掘廉價好貨不就等於能搭配得宜或時尚。而街上店舗已爲大衆搭配好整體造形，即食得多，無需費周章，用心神。此其一。另外，二手或vintage物實在難以有現代感，亦不容易合身。這就形成平宜貨不易找的現象。綜合以上分析，大概明白不是找不找到平價好貨的問題，應該是如何搭配，找適合自己是大前題，再來才是格價精準掃平貨。

還有另一方面就是runway與現實的不一樣。我們路人眼看T台衣服多美，卻有遙不可及之感，自始離high fashion遠也。以前筆者也有同感，加上價格根本不是打工仔所能負擔，那就是意味high fashion更加與我無關。其實不然。

潮流怎樣來，還不是從high end到high street然後到street嗎？要先掌扼high end趨勢，到highstreet有售，街上人手一件就是潮流。可是highstreet新貨不便宜(對我來説，因為未穿底價)，於是以下pauperish trendsetter血路是這樣殺出來的。

在這 "從high end到high street然後到street" 的程式中加入 "根據high end trend，從二手或過氣/季的單品入手"。二手或過氣/季的單品必定廉價，但其實也不乏新季元素，因爲fashion總是一個個大小週期循環。當然不同之處還是有的，負面來説就是old cutting，但我自己覺得不是只因孤寒，而是這樣的好處是比買當季市面上的潮流貨更有特色，更具個性。至少不會被一眼看出是H&M，又或跟同事朋友撞衫。而且不用成爲街上複製出來的潮人，因爲你穿的根本不一樣。

而且我們追求的是multi-use ＆multi-way！這個很重要。物品的多用性是最爲划算的。與衆一式一樣的style除了因爲單品相同外，還有穿着方法一成不變。你看那個穿衞衣低檔尿布褲加襪子配MBT涼鞋，leggings外短褲你也一絲不苟拼出一個餅印。哪有自己風格可言呢? 你的leggings多貴也不外如是。

所以回歸主題，筆者認爲pauperish strangejoanne將以介紹如何搭配爲主線，點題潮流重點特色，再加上如何用單品搭配整體造型。或是發掘單一產品的多用性。一來省錢，二來創意有個性，這比介紹消費品更另人亢奮吧。 - strangejoanne

I have been discussing about the way to be a blogger without doing the same as the other on monday morning with my frd. What is the role of pauperish strangejoanne?

I wanted to shoot my new brought cheap items for sharing in my blog. However I realise how normal are the items are even I picked them and visual how they would be great to mix & match. They seem to be just simple and plain. I'd say thrifting is not just about effort and taste. You actually need to know the way to mix and match. There are instantly matched up outfit for consumer on highstreet. Consumers can effortlessly pick the style they like. And the second hand or vintage haven't been modernized or they are unfitted. It leads the phenonmenon of hardly find the cheap items. But once you know how to mix and match with them, whatever thrifted goods would help to style you up.

Also the runway trend is known as unpractical. Even we see how beautiful is the runway, we just cant reach. So we have nothing to do with high end. I felt the same before because runway pieces are not affordable. But it's not true.

Where's the trend ome from? From high end to high street to the street. The high end is the trend, high street would follow and everyone will be wearing the thing. However the price of high street new season product ain't cheap (not as budget as I expect). That's why we can figure out a way below to against this.

How so? Let's add 'understand high end trend and pick second hand/passed season items' between the formula of 'From high end to high street to the street'. No doubt the second hand/passed season items are cheap and within budget. But they can be with on trend element as fashion is always a cycle. Even tho they are not exactly the same as the high street items, such as the cutting, I don't think it's just because of being tight to thrift because the thrift is more unique than the highstreet products. Then you can be a trend setter rather than having the same H&M dress with your colleagues and frds. Then you can stand out from the crowd but not being awkward and still trendy enough.

Moreover, the multi- usage of products is extremely important too which save a lot your money. Everyone looking the same is because of wearing the same items and the way people make use of the item without difference. You can see someone copys the other's look exactly the same way for example the jumper, the low slotch pants like nappy with socks and MBT fugly sandals. Or the leggings pair with shorts are horrible evn they are expensive.

So back to the point, pauperish strangejoanne is going to write up how to mix and match based on the fashion trend characteristic by making use of items and pieces. To explore the usage of one single item. That will for sure saving money and more innovation on style which is more exciting than just introducing new product. - strangejoanne

上回講到混色大熱，筆者膽敢示範（見前兩post）。反應似乎只有大陸人和外國人能接受。原來香港人才是最保守、最不創新，悲哀吧。香港大陸化，大陸國際化。

這回更上一層樓來説説更強勢的混花。這個潮流是筆者有生以來首度參與的。一直以來每季潮流都在於單品的發展，單色或者同色系的系列。Pattern今季舉足輕重。大小fashion show街頭巷尾充斥pattern。不是只有一個花樣亮點上身。一個outfit，2種patterns這季絕不爲過。色盲外還更直接的眼盲。

上一個post找來只有runway示範，實在難以仿效。有見及此，是次以路人作解説。好譲大家更有信心一同感受春季色彩花樣可愛之處。

This time I gonna talk about the even more tronger trend of mixing pattern. This is the first trend I ever heard and tried in life. The hittest item of the seasons are usually single items or pattern or colours. But it is a mixture of variety colours, colour tone and pattern almost with no logic this time. It can be happening on one single item
or even one single outfit. Every fashion show and on the street are colourfully with plenty of patterns. Such a Wow and carnival like world.

I have found some runway demonstration last post which might be too hard for us to copy. Therefore I would have street snap this time to explain the way to dress in pattern.

除了以一件pattern單品作亮點百搭黑白灰作主要色爲人人基本常識外。另外初班先學會可以從pattern單品上找其中一單色以其或同色系作基調相配。如下的大熱裸色示範。褲子上的一個顔色抽出來，用於純色上衣及鞋子上，即成。

The common knowledge of wearing pattern as focus is to pair up with monotone as basic. Another way is to pick one colour from the pattern item as your basic colour. For example below, the nude colour picken from her pants as her blouse and shoes colour.

除此之外另一即食的圖案搭配法就是選購pattern X pattern的現有設計。因爲設計師獨具慧眼拼出的，應當順眼（不順眼的該是設計師力有不逮或閣下眼角高 lol）。
An instant way is selecting the design already include 2 patterns which is supposed to be matching perfectly by the designers if they are good at mix and match and you are comprimizing it.

最後進階版必定是整體同一樣式或2個以上的圖案。有點像我不喜歡的日系。lol 怎樣配嘛？大概沒技巧可言。有膽識夠加點創意和自我感覺良好有何不可。

Last but not least, the advanced demonstration is all over head to toe in 1 or 2 patterns above. This is kinda japanese style which I don't really like. How to mix and match? No rule at all. All you need is braveness, creativity and feeling gr8 with yourself, I'd say, confidence then why not?

各種類牛仔是夏擋不過 Denim A must and never die

多少季了，09年春夏到此，似乎牛仔不死。那年風光明媚，牛仔必備。

從ebay狠狠bid來一件牛仔恤，是淺色的，可是不夠淺，因爲不夠錢（Topshop也許有售淺牛，但budget以外，生活指數以上，原則之外）。於是跟同屋好友着手DIY，拿出大家不夠淺、未夠爛的牛仔玩弄一番。水＋漂白水(tesco 的VALUE :P)再戴膠手套，一手把剪過的牛仔物體放進去，漂它好幾句鐘。那漂白水燻得一屋刺鼻，相信好友也不會忘記。另外，買回來的平價牛仔褲統統剪破掉，放到洗衣機，鬚鬚便應渾而生。

今天回流，平價靚牛仔彼彼皆是。無需再大費周章便找到理想牛仔。各色各樣，悉隨專便。這季筆者依舊鐘愛牛仔，只是少費心神DIY而已。—strangejoanne

It has been how many seasons for the trend of denim? Seems like denim never die. Year09 was the reborn of denim.

I hardly bidded a denim shirt from ebay which is light but not enough as my ideal one that topshop may have but they are costy as new season item. You know, how budget I am. It's defo not my principle of buying an expensive one. So I decided to do DIY with my housemate. We both brought out our not -light-enough denim to play around. Water mixed with bleach(from tesco value :P). then place the items in the solution for couple of hours. Also, to destreded the cheap purchased jeans and put it in the washing machine. The fringe came out!

Today I m bk. There are nice denim everywhere. I can find the ideal denim effortlessly. Choose whatever you like. I still obcess with denim without putting too much effort on DIY.-strangejoanne

In your opinion do you have to have money to have style? No I don’t think you need money to have style. It is much more satisfying to find a piece of clothing in a charity shop or at a car boot sale, safe in the knowledge that when you go out no one will be wearing the same. Having more money would just allow me to have a more generic style, like buying a T-shirt from Urban Outfitters for £30, which loads of other people would own. Buying secondhand clothes allows me to own individual pieces.

Describe a typical day/weekend: Wake up, shower, dress, walk to lectures, walk back, have a nap if tired (regular occurrence), do work while being distracted by YouTube, sometimes got to the gym if I'm feeling energetic, if so shower again, be social and see flatmates etc, go for food in the refectory, come back, watch TV - really bad TV due to limited channels - stay up and talk with flatmates until like 2, every morning regretted, then bed.

Favourite hangouts by night: In Leeds - Faversham, Wire, Hi Fii. My kitchen.

香港fashion人們都毒愛黑色。當然黑色的好襯度爲10顆星星。但對於筆者這種不甘平凡寂寞的人，我會勇於嘗試不同的colour palette。特別由SS11開始這股迎面吹襲的彩虹潑墨誰也擋不過。

我特喜愛的顔色是血紅色，橙紅、梅紅、棗紅基本也不放過。配紅的還有貴氣紫，今天的芥茉黃，春夏新寵蘋果綠。黑就留下爲打底基礎。這樣的穿衣術譲人發揮大創意！

HK fashionista all are in love with the balck. Black is always the black. Cool and easy to match but somehow boring. As a person who are fearless of trying new stuffs, I would go for a exggerated colour palette. I personally adore the colour of bloody red (my fav drink is bloody mary. LOL). I am also opened to all kinda red, such as scarlet, lipstick, russet and else. To match with my reds, I'd have gorgeous violet,today's outfit's mustard, new SS lover apple green. Let's leave the black as basic. This dressing way would defo bright up your fun and innovative days!

Never be afraid of the Green with Red or the Yellow mix violet, even a full set of tone on tone outfit. Cos u'll never be judged this year. I am totally excited ab it. Would HongKongese change their stubborn mind and go for the lovely colours? -strangejoanne

Open ceremony X levis 的雞肋之作譲我們潮死去

美國INDIE牌來一次CROSSOVER，這次合作不是與H&M般的跟天價名牌合作。而是大衆經典levis合力設計“8件collection”於2月經已發售。筆者不見得興奮或者吸引。

雖則OP向來走的也只是大路簡約風格，但以crossover作gimmick總需要爲消費者帶點驚喜吧。其單品離不開那幾樣夏天必備，crop jecket, indigo牛仔,hoodies。顔色縱然繽紛，可愛青春度有增，活力也是有的，可是就不怎麼特別，亦無設計感或魅力可言。雖説靈感來自90年代，本來相當誘惑我這種時代懷舊穿着風格的人。但眼看還是平實無味的雞肋。只有8件的collection雖有gimmick，能發揮的應當許多，但最後這樣看來只是用作製造noice的潮流尖端事宜，實質懶躲賣錢作祟而已。

數落了許多，最後不得不提及的賣點是其由我的大愛photographer。Terry richardson操刀的campaing（造型上也很有他的影子）。不過，不知道是否大作太多，cult brand crossover 牛仔實在爲小品，這次大師也較casual了事，照片跟他的visual daily photo blog 差不多。

唉。現今市場只要crossover就能大賣且夠潮創意工夫省得下就刪去。我看這世界快要滅亡，我們一塊潮死去好了。 -strangejoanne

The american cult label is doing a collaboration with the legendary denim brand Levis. There's nothing luxury like H&M dose. But practically 8 pieces collection selling in Febuary. I literally don't think it's attractive to me at all.

Their items are always the formula of spring /summer. Such as the crop jacket, indigo denim, hoodies. Even though they are colourful, lovely and energetic enough, definitely nothing special or interesting. So not creative or sexy at all. It supposes to be inspired from the 90's. As a vintage decade fashion style lover, I'd say it's just simple as American appearl. And the 8pieces collection gimmick is cool. There should be room to be innovated. However, the result is just a fashion trend issue without a bang. It's just sales and marketing driven.

Last but not least, Terry richardson, one of my favourite photographer is the one who managed the campaign. But for this, he has just done the simple casual work as what he usually posts on his visual diary blog. Not much to impressed.

Today's market has been cutting budget and less creativity. They just want the items to be sold and be trendy. I belive it's almost the end of the world. Let's just simply be the most trendiest hipster and that's it and die! -strangejoanne

本來我日新月異的形像令人無所適從，但自從4年前的頭巾熱不知不覺地頭巾物體成為了我的必需品甚至是朋友對我的認知。頭巾們跟隨筆者多年，我決定要好好表揚一番。

至於出處是由中東北美西南亞的民族特色演變過來。從20年代，英印生意來往緊密，文化交流影響。Turban就成爲潮流事。70年代的hippies潮也是當時Ethinic文化。於是每逢春夏的gypsy, hippies look就少不得HEADWEAR。

The turban was came from middle east, north America and Southen West Asia. Since the 1920's the british had close business relationship with the indian. As the crossover of the cuture, turban had came to England and it had became a fashion trend. Hippies was influenced by the ethnic culture too. That's why the gypsy and hippies have the turban or headwear in every spring and summer.

Accessories對 outfit的重要性是常常被忽略的。港人特別漠視其無比威力。即使配襯簡單，平平無奇，加上頭巾後絕對也能吸引眼球，立刻出衆。而且它爲頭髮亂了立了是最佳出場之時，幫了我個大忙。這亦是我情系head accessories原因。

Accessories is important for style and outfit but it has always been forgotten. HongKongese don't know how powerful it is. Even the outfit is simple or even boring, when you add on a headscarf, it can be very different and stand out of the crowd. And the best thing of it is to cover up the greasy messy hair which really has give a big hand. This is why I m in love with turban.

I usually have the scarves to tie as a turban which is more flexible to actually buy one. It can be tied in a knot, a ribbon or like a country girl to fit my different looks. It depends on my mood. Most of the scarves are vintage goods from friends' unwanted or from vintage secondhand stores. Moreover, highstreet also has very nice scarves in vintage style.I have been shopping in HK industrial centre in Lai chi kok. There are lovely pattern scarves, very adorable and fair price for hkd98. 除鑽石外，女生好友可真多，鞋子地位數一數二。筆者也是鞋痴（盡得母親真傳）．櫃子全場爆滿，但總是差一雙，我亦樂意加場。因爲款式特別或價格吸引而買下的鞋無數，可是總有不好穿、不好走、不貼腳、不能走路，多不的這種情況常見。有見及此，我無法不捨棄愛鞋，可是才剛呱呱落地，就此丟掉不人道也。

The LFW has got House of holland. His new AW11/12 fashion film has been very different from all the others. It's nothing glamourous, no hollywood big star or celebrities in the film for the label. But he has found the cool it girl Pixie and Dree to play the roles. Fulfilling with the vintage American advertising style. 3 of them might be having fun like it's their insiders' party. It totally has brought me into the sence and I'd be wearing the colourful crochet coat and the stripe socks. If there's a pajama party, I'd definitely pick the 100%silk set.

Henry Holland has always put vivid colours in his collection inprired from the swinging sixties. I appreciate the individual style of english. They have fantasticly demonstrate the same item in variety of ways that suprise the others. This is what HongKongese rarely do because we have lost our history and cultural. There is defo a linkage with creativity and innovation. Otherwise we won't see the clone style everywhere in the street of HK. -strangejoanne

Cool Pauperish Fashionista 窮也要酷

窮也要酷
買要買，時裝是不能放棄的。可是家境小康，教我如何走在潮流前線，與一眾名牌上身的大師一較高下。打從甚麼時候，我就染上買平嘢的筆直習慣。朋友無一不感嘆本女的格價功，此非只局限於衣飾方面，食與行也不例外（住有娘家愛錫包辦，幸福無憂）。實行生活品味穿底價全包圍。

其實早前有一文有提及我的SHOPPING BEHAVIER。可是是英文版。現在我又突破自己懶惰的缺點打一下中文。
我的入貨店舖當然有超級2手店美芝。vintage是至愛，價格有上有下。當然美芝為下，而且不一定vintage。除此之外還有草根MK，花園街，深水埗，街邊檔攤。HIGHSTREET有COTTON ON（男裝TEE是最愛）。其他的還有各大HIGHSTREET的減價。

我認為平野無好不是必然定律。其實這是眼光彩數加努力的成果。沒有柒人，只有懶人。因為當我要趕上班，不上粧，不配襯當天outfit之時，我感覺到自己無比難看。

讀者可能有感筆者孤寒又寒酸。我卻坦然承認我很師奶。可是能省下錢來，買到可遇不可求的，扮起有型，何樂不為？重點是，FASHIONISTA也不一定大穿名牌還有時下潮牌。（筆者是極度對潮反感的！）

所以，今後發表的新文章會特別加添新題材。今天靈機一動，何不專心鑽研及分享本女的自學廉價神功？

I just can't give up fashion (shopping) even I am such a pauper. My family isn't rich but providing me all the best. However, this is nothing for me to spend on those luxury labels and compete with those super fashionista. Since then I MUST find my way to get myself getting the on trend special cool stuff BUT BUDGET in hand.

All my friends have been amased of my budget spender behavier. Not just on clothes and accessories but also food and travel. I'd say this a a total package of lifestyle.

Shopping behavier has been mentioned in one of my previous post in only english. And I realise I may do a Chinese version. My favourite store is MeiGee in Mong Kok. they sell second hand and vintage. An absolute thrift store. Moreover, fa yuen street girly trendy shops and sham shui Po stall are my choices too. Fot highstreet, I usually go for Cotton on which has the best tee shirts collection. And of course those sale of highstreet are my life too.

I disagree with cheap stuffs ain't good. This is all about taste, luck and effort to look for the out standing goods. There's no1 tacky but lazy. Whenever I rush to work without making up and dress up, I look terribly horrible.

Readers you may find me too tight. But I mean it. If you can save up money, buying statement pieces, dress up and look cool then why not? The most important is fashionista is not restricted to wear only the super labels or the hittest brand.

No doubt we all love chanel cosmetic (actually not just cosmetics, perheps everything) because of its valuable, classy packaging, quality of product and for sure, its logo.

These are not the selling points this time. Since we have all known how classy and glamourous chanel products are, it would be great to show some fun and creativity as this is the technologic centry. The Chanel’s Global Creative Director of Makeup Peter Philips has conceptualized this stop motion video built from a bunch of lipsticks, compacts, glosses and brushes.

The stop motion animation formed robot by the cosmetic we daily use. The idea has sucessfullly input a new image of chanel make up in our mind which definitely would attract more young customers.

I wouldn't say this is an advertising or a campainge but a brand enhancement of double C. Fair enough of the lovely and funny movement that we have never thought of playing with our lipsticks. This can be a game among girls and shooting them by your iphone/camera. How fun innit? - strangejoanne

Spring choice of designer's collection - Zoe Twitt

We have already looking forward to the Spring 2011 even winter has just arrived Hong Kong (it's a bit late), getting colder to prepare for the Christmas, altho there's never snow in HK. I have accidently get known the brand Zoe twitt which I reckon that may be a hopeful spring style approach.

I look at the lookbook which is very much like a fairy tale or a sweet dream. The organza usage is like the dragonfly in the spring or little fairy living around our world. The pastel colour is soft and heart touching. Jersey in silky touch is well used in the garment which gives the collection more wearable and easy breezy.

The proportion of the items on body is a point to be focused which is always the theory of how I style myself. Zoe keeps the long X the short. It never make you look short but stylish. The organze layering created a volumn in order to sexy and cool enough showing off your skin, long legs and narrow waist, at the same time sweet and lovely.

My favourite part of Zoe Twitt collection is not the ready to wear but her jewellery collection. It is totally natural and dreamy! Crystal is used on spritual energy supply. Girls would love the pink one which representing LOVE. Who doesn't want love isn'it? Zoe's jewellery is not just pinky girly crytalized. it is a mixture of wish of love and tough strong metal element. You can imagine how they are matching with her clothes that will never be just an innocent 8 years old girl but a adorable lady who is stylish with her own philosophy of life.
